This is an all Travertine tile install in a master bathroom in Dearborn, Mi. The tile sizes consisted of 12×12 for the bathroom floor and 2×2 for the shower floor, the walls of the shower and wainscoat of the main bath area were 9×18 and were laid in a running bond pattern with pencil liners and a glass/stone mix mosaic as a border piece.

The shower was prepped and then waterproofed with Laticretes ” Hydroban” and was grouted with Laticretes “Permacolor” grout which is a stain resistant, mold and mildew resistant grout and has been our standard grout now for a number of years. The thinset used was again Laticretes “4XLT” which is a mediun bed, non-sag thinset.

A new vanity and granite countertop were installed along with a new toilet and Delta facets and shower controls, the final finish was the Euro style shower doors to give this bathroom a truely modern feel.

This is a marble bathroom we just finished for one of our regular remodeling companies we do custom tile for.

The install consisted of 6×3 polished marble on the lower portion of the walls with pencil liners and mosaic borders and chair rails. The upper part of the tub area was 4×4 tumbled marble on a diagonal. The bathroom floor was a 12×12 marble installed on a regular straight lay pattern.

The thinset of choice again was Laticretes 4XLT and the grout was Laticretes Permacolor.

This is a bathroom we did in Livonia Mi. a few months ago that i just now got around to posting. I am very proud of this bath as it has some of my favourite finishes in it.

The tile is a mixture of 15×15 and 7 1/2×15 porcelain with a mosaic mix and chair rail. The shower was waterproofed with Laticretes “Hydroban” and all the tile installed with their “4XLT” thinset and grouted with their Permacolour” grout.

The owner of the house (a friend of mine from Ireland) is responsible for custom building the vanities and bath door and trim work.

A truly beautiful bathroom.

This is a small shower we constructed in a basement in Plymouth Mi. It started off with having an old steel enclosure sitting over a drain that was removed. We then framed out the shower and constructed the bench, installed a new drain and ran the plumbing for the shower controls.

The walls were then boarded with permabase backerboard, taped and muded and then two coats of Laticretes Hydroban were applied to form a waterproof barrier, a third coat was applied to bench area for added waterproofing.

The 4×8 subway tile was then installed with a black pencil liner to break the pattern and a Noble niche was used to add storage for shampoo’s ect., The shower was then grouted with Laticretes Permacolour grout and the shower controls trim added to finish off the look.

All in all a very nice looking shower for a very nice couple.

This is a master bath we finished up in South Lyon recently, the slate was all different thickness’es so care had to be taken while installing them. The shower wall tile is a 12×18 in a vertical stack with a waterfall effect around the shower controls.

The shower floor is a small versailles pattern which was a mesh mounted mosaic. T he bath room floor is a large versailles pattern which consists of 12×18, 12×12, 6×12 and 6×6 and finally the tub splash is an interlocking brick pattern.

Shower was waterproofed with Laticrete Hydroban and the tile installed with Laticrete 4XLT thinset and grouted with Laticrete Permacolour grout.

All in all a very beautiful, rugged, outdoor look to a masterbath.

This is a master bath we just finished tiling in Northville, Mi. The homeowners are doing alot of the work themselves which included the demolition of the origanal bath and the plumbing. We were hired to build and waterproof the shower which again we used Laticretes “Hydroban” for that step and also to tile the tub deck and splash as well as the master bath floor.

We used three Noble recessed shelves as our main design on the back wall as well as a granite slab we had custom fabricated for the bench top. The tile was a 6×6 ceramic the homeowners purchased from Home Depot and was installed in a straight lay pattern on the bottom part of the shower and then diagonally installed on the top.

It was then finally grouted with Laticretes “Permacolour” grout which is a stain resistant, crack resistant and mold resistant grout.

Just finished up another Home Show at The Suburban Showplace in Novi and again it was another great success.

This is a full bathroom build that we finished in Northville Mi. just before we went to the big Tile and Stone convention in Las Vegas in the middle of March. The bathroom is in the basement and it consisted of breaking up the basement floor and running the rough plumbing for the toilet, shower and sink.

We then framed out the room and ran our copper and built the shower stall, drywalled the room with greenboard and applied 3 coats of mud. The shower was waterproofed with Laticretes “Hydrobarrier” and prepped for tile.

The tile was a 10×12 travertine for the shower walls installed in a running bond pattern and the bath floor was a 12×12 travertine installed in a straight lay pattern. The grout of choice was again Laticretes “permacolour” stain resistant grout.

Final process was installing the toilet and pedistal sink and trimming out the shower with Moen controls and installing the Moen faucet.

This is a Master Bath Remodel we finished a couple of months ago in Flatrock Mi., it consisted of a shower, a tub deck and splash, the bath floor and new counter tops with new faucets. All the tile choosen was travertine natural stone in different sizes and travertine chair rail and travertine pencils and a glass/stone mix mosaic was used for an accent. The shower was waterproofed with Laticretes “Hydrobarrier” and the thinset of choice was again Laticretes ’4XLT” with “Permacolour” grout to finish it off. New Euro style shower doors were added and the bathroom recieved a fresh coat of paint to finish off a very elegant warm master bath.

This is a kitchen floor we finished in Livonia, Mi. which involved ripping out the old 8×8 ceramic tile that was already surrounded by beautiful 3/4″ hickory wood. The old tile was installed on 3/8 plywood so it had become loose and hollow in many areas, we took out the old tile and the plywood underlayment and installed new 1/4 permabase backerboard as this was as thick as we could go to allow for a flush finish and secured it to the plywood subfloor and installed the new 12×12 porcelain tile with Laticretes 4XLT thinset.

This new look adds a modern feel to the already beautiful kitchen and the homeowners are very pleased and have already hired us to revamp their foyer, hallway and bath.
